Hyperglycaemia

Hyperglycaemia occurs when blood glucose levels become too high. The general rule is when blood glucose is higher then 180 mg/dl (in US units) or 10mmol/L (in UK units) measured two hours after food, it is called hyperglycaemia. It is important for diabetics to be aware of high blood sugar.



Hypoglycaemia

Abnormally low blood sugar usually resulting from excessive insulin or a poor diet
